The formative years...

Corbin Bleu was born in Brooklyn, New York to a Jamaican father and an Italian American mother; his father, David Reivers, is also an actor. He began his career as a dancer and became a model for stores such as Macy's, GAP, Target, and Toys "R" Us. At age six Corbin appeared in his first professional theatre production off Broadway playing an abandon homeless mute in the play "Tiny Tim is Dead".

Career

Bleu has appeared in the theatrical films Galaxy Quest (1999) and Catch That Kid (2004), the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, and is currently playing Nathan on the Discovery Kids series Flight 29 Down. He also guest starred as Johnny in the pilot episode of Disney Channel's Hannah Montana.

Bleu appears in the 2006 Disney Channel Games, where he is a member of the Blue Team, along with Jason Earles, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Monique Coleman, Cole Sprouse and Brenda Song. Bleu is slated to appear in two upcoming Disney Channel movies set for release in 2007, Jump and High School Musical 2.
